Covera joins Y Combinator (F26)

Covera has joined Y Combinator and is part of the Fall 2026 batch, F26. Covera builds Covera Agents, AI agents for P&C insurance agencies and brokers of all sizes. The agents take on the servicing work around each file, and the team approves every action.

Who is behind Covera

Covera was founded by Tiphaine Venet and Thibaut Regerat. Before Covera, they built Simio, a company they sold in 2024. Covera starts from the tools an agency already uses: its agency management system, its mailbox and its carrier portals, rather than asking the team to move to a new tool.

What Covera Agents does today

Covera Agents is a set of agents, each built for one servicing task:

• The document collection agent requests the missing documents of a file and tracks what has been received.
• The carrier quoting agent prepares the quoting file and fills carrier portal screens from it; the agent checks each screen and submits.
• The quote comparison agent builds a side-by-side comparison from the quotes attached to a file.
• The claims follow-up agent sorts claim emails and drafts the requests for missing documents.
• The past-due collections agent reads carrier notices and drafts each reminder.
• The account rounding agent finds single-line clients in the book and drafts an outreach.

Some agents are confirmed with Covera before they are activated for a US agency.

How the agents work with your team

Each agent works inside the agency's own tools and prepares its work for a person to review. Emails are placed as drafts in the mailbox, portal screens are filled but never submitted by Covera, and client messages are prepared for a person to send, never sent automatically. Nothing goes to a client or a carrier without someone at the agency. Covera does not train any AI model on agency data.

What Y Combinator changes

Y Combinator speeds up Covera's growth in the United States. For independent agencies, the agents already connect to agency management systems such as EZLynx and Momentum (NowCerts), and quoting runs on US carrier portals. Covera also works with brokerages in France, with the same agents adapted to the French market.

On the quoting side, the US catalog covers lines such as personal auto, homeowners, commercial auto, trucking, general liability and workers compensation.
