AI quote comparison agent for insurance brokers

The Covera Agents quote comparison agent lines up the quotes received for the same risk on one coverage grid, each value sourced. The broker corrects it, picks the offer, and generates a client proposal.

Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance brokers. The quote comparison agent reads the quotes received for the same risk, and if provided the policy forms and the broker's notes on the client's needs, then lines them up on a coverage grid built for that type of risk. The result is a sourced comparison the broker corrects, and a client proposal in PDF.

Why comparing quotes by hand is slow

Two quotes with similar premiums can cover very different risks. Limits, sublimits, deductibles and exclusions sit in different places in each document, and units do not always match. Many agencies rebuild a spreadsheet for every file, then rewrite it in a format a client can read. The comparison agent does the alignment, so the broker's time goes into the recommendation.

What the comparison shows

  • One column per offer: carrier, option, annual and monthly premium.
  • Coverages with their limits, conditions such as deductibles or waiting periods, and assumptions of the policy, each on its own line of the grid.
  • A flag on lines where offers do not count the same thing, for example a different unit or period.
  • An off-grid section for what the grid does not know, so nothing read in a quote is thrown away.
  • Every value linked to the page of the document it came from.

The broker keeps the recommendation

The broker corrects any cell or column header; each correction creates a new version that can be restored. Adding or replacing documents and rerunning the analysis resets the corrections and the rationale. The retained offer is the broker's choice. Covera proposes a written rationale, which the broker validates or rewrites. The proposal is generated only when the broker asks for it, from the reviewed state, and each PDF stays frozen on the version that produced it.

US proposal and grids

For a US agency, the document is a proposal with the agency's branding and a client acknowledgment to sign. US grids cover homeowners, personal auto, umbrella and personal umbrella, employment practices liability, directors and officers, commercial and residential earthquake, commercial and residential flood, and a personal package that compares homeowners, auto and umbrella together. A line without a grid cannot be compared yet.

Where the quotes come from

Quotes arrive by upload (PDF, Word, saved emails), from a connected mailbox, or directly from a file of the carrier quoting agent, where one click preselects the quotes already attached. Once the client has chosen, the documents needed to bind are tracked by the document collection agent. The table also exports to XLSX or copies into an email.

Limits and availability

A comparison accepts up to 20 documents and 20 MB in total. Covera opens the comparison agent agency by agency. Covera does not train any AI model on agency data.
