AI agents for EZLynx agency management

Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance agencies. EZLynx, part of the Applied group, is an agency management system used by independent agencies in the United States. Covera keeps a read copy of the agency's EZLynx book, so quoting, the assistant and the agents work on the real portfolio instead of a spreadsheet.

What Covera reads in EZLynx

• Applicants, the clients of the agency, with their details.
• Policies attached to each applicant.

Claims, receipts, documents and attachments, and existing quotes are not read. The book is walked in full on each sync.

What Covera writes in EZLynx

From the banner of a quoting file, the agent can create a new applicant in EZLynx with one click. A creation only counts as done when EZLynx returns the new applicant's identifier, and that identifier is locked in Covera to avoid a duplicate. Covera does not create quotes or risk applications in EZLynx, and never modifies or deletes anything.

How the connection is set up

The agency creates an EZLynx user dedicated to Covera, separate from any agent's login, and completes a one-time trusted device step so the daily sync does not stop at the second authentication factor. The Covera team then sets up and checks the connection, with a test read reviewed before the first sync. There is no self-service form for EZLynx.

What it unlocks for the agents

The carrier quoting agent checks whether the prospect is already an applicant, prefills the risk profile from the book, and creates the applicant when it is new. Some required fields of the US auto catalog were aligned on EZLynx screens. Each client record opens in EZLynx with one click from Covera. The quote comparison agent then builds the proposal from the quotes attached to the file. The assistant answers questions on the synced book, with US insurance vocabulary.

A dedicated user

A user dedicated to Covera means no agent is ever signed out by the sync, and the connection keeps working without asking anyone for a code. The trusted device step has to be renewed with the agency when it expires.

Limits

The book is refreshed once a day, with no live read during the day apart from applicant creation. There is no file import for EZLynx: the connection is the only way in. ACORD forms in Covera are not linked to the EZLynx connection. Covera does not train any AI model on agency data.
