AI agents for independent insurance agencies
How Covera Agents work in a US independent agency: one sourced risk profile, carrier portals, ACORD forms, side-by-side quotes and a branded proposal, on a US data plan.
Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance agencies. An independent agency quotes the same client with several carriers, each through its own portal, and keeps the book in an agency management system. This page describes how Covera Agents work in a US independent agency, and what stays with the agency.
Several carriers, one client file
Independent agencies are appointed with many carriers, from national writers to specialty markets and wholesalers. Marketing one risk means typing the same applicant, drivers, vehicles, property and loss history into each portal, then comparing PDF quotes that do not line up.
Covera starts from that file. The carrier quoting agent reads the documents, such as applications, declarations pages, schedules, loss runs and saved emails, and builds one risk profile where every value cites the document it came from.
Personal and commercial lines
The US catalog covers personal auto, homeowners, dwelling fire and umbrella on the personal side, and commercial auto, trucking, general liability, BOP, commercial property, workers compensation, professional liability and cyber on the commercial side.
For a household, see how this works in personal lines agencies. For business risks, see commercial lines agencies.
Carrier portals and ACORD forms
On carrier portals mapped by Covera, the browser extension fills the screens from the profile. On other supported portals, it shows the profile next to the portal so values can be copied field by field. Covera has pages for major carriers, such as Progressive, Safeco or National General.
ACORD forms are prefilled from a central library of about thirty editions provided to every US agency. Coverage varies by form, and the agency holds its own ACORD end-user license. Nothing is submitted by Covera: the agent checks every screen and every form.
Quotes and proposals
The quote comparison agent lines up the quotes on a coverage grid, each value linked to its page in the source document. The agent corrects any cell, picks the offer, and generates a proposal with the agency's branding and a client acknowledgment to sign.
Agency management systems
Covera reads the book from EZLynx, through a user dedicated to Covera, and can create a new applicant from a quoting file on the agent's click. With Momentum (NowCerts), clients, policies and documents are available to the agents, and the prospect and quote can be created from a quoting file. Emails come from Gmail or Outlook.
Data and rollout
Covera runs a US data plan, separate from the European one, with its own application, database and subprocessors. Covera does not train any AI model on agency data.
Every agency starts with the quoting agent. Document collection, claims, collections and account rounding were built for the French market first: for a US agency, each is confirmed with Covera before activation.
Frequently asked questions
Does Covera work with every carrier portal?
It depends on the portal. On portals mapped by Covera, the extension fills the screens; on other supported portals it shows the profile next to the portal for copying, field by field.
Which agency management systems does Covera connect to?
EZLynx and Momentum (NowCerts). Covera reads the book from both, and can create an applicant in EZLynx, or a prospect and quote in Momentum, from a quoting file on the agent's click.
