AI agents for commercial lines insurance agencies

What Covera Agents take on in a commercial lines agency: one sourced risk profile, ACORD forms prefilled, carrier portals, and quotes compared before the proposal.

Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance agencies. A commercial lines agency places business risks such as commercial auto, trucking, general liability, BOP, commercial property and workers compensation. This page describes what the agents take on in that kind of agency, and what stays with the agent.

The same data, keyed again for each carrier

A commercial risk is rarely quoted with one carrier. The same entity, operations, vehicles, drivers and loss history go into one portal after another, each with its own screens and field names.

An anonymized example: a commercial auto agency working with about fifteen carriers re-keyed the same data six or seven times on separate portals for a single risk.

One sourced risk profile

The carrier quoting agent reads the documents of a file, such as applications, schedules, loss runs and saved emails, and builds one risk profile where every value cites the document it came from. The US catalog includes commercial auto, trucking, general liability, BOP, commercial property, workers compensation, professional liability, cyber and umbrella.

The profile lists what is still missing, starting with the required fields, then the fields the agency's carrier portals ask for on that line.

ACORD forms and carrier supplements

ACORD forms are prefilled from the profile, from a central library of about thirty editions provided to every US agency. Coverage varies by form, a field without a source stays blank, and signature areas stay empty. The agency holds its own ACORD end-user license.

Covera also keeps public supplemental applications of some carriers and wholesalers, matched to the line and to the risk class when it can be read. The agent downloads the editable PDF, checks it and sends it.

Carrier portals

On carrier portals mapped by Covera, the browser extension fills the screens from the profile. On other supported portals, it shows the profile next to the portal so values can be copied field by field. The agent checks every screen and submits; Covera never submits.

Quotes compared, then the proposal

The quote comparison agent lines up the quotes on a coverage grid. US commercial grids include employment practices liability, directors and officers, and commercial earthquake and flood. A line without a grid cannot be compared yet. The comparison becomes a proposal with the agency's branding and a client acknowledgment to sign.

Agency software

The file can be linked to a client of the book read from EZLynx or Momentum (NowCerts). Covera runs a US data plan, separate from the European one, and does not train any AI model on agency data.
