AI agents for personal lines insurance agencies
What Covera Agents take on in a personal lines agency: carrier portal quoting, quote comparison and the client proposal, with every step reviewed by the agent.
Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance agencies. A personal lines agency writes auto, home, renters and umbrella for families, often with a small team where the same people quote, service and answer the phone. This page describes what the agents take on in that kind of agency, and what stays with the agent.
Where the day goes
A single household can mean an auto with several drivers, a home and an umbrella, quoted with three or four carriers. Each carrier portal asks for the same driver, vehicle and property details on its own screens, and the quotes come back as PDFs that do not line up.
An anonymized example: a three-person personal lines agency quoted on four or more carrier portals and compared the PDF quotes by hand before writing each proposal.
One risk profile, then the portals
The carrier quoting agent reads the documents of a file, such as applications, declarations pages, driver lists or loss runs, and builds one risk profile where every value cites the document it came from. The profile lists what is still missing, starting with the required fields.
The US catalog covers personal auto, homeowners, dwelling fire and umbrella. For property risks, Covera can add permits and building characteristics from public county records, each with its source, and says so when a source is unavailable.
On carrier portals mapped by Covera, the browser extension fills the screens from the profile. On other supported portals, it shows the profile next to the portal so values can be copied field by field. The agent checks every screen and submits.
Quotes side by side, then the proposal
The quote comparison agent lines up the quotes on a coverage grid, each value linked to the page it came from. US grids include homeowners, personal auto, umbrella and personal umbrella, earthquake and flood, and a personal package that compares home, auto and umbrella together.
The agent corrects any cell and picks the offer. The comparison then becomes a proposal with the agency's branding and a client acknowledgment to sign.
Agency software and data
The file can be linked to a client of the agency book, read from EZLynx or Momentum (NowCerts). Emails and documents come from Gmail or Outlook.
Covera runs a US data plan, separate from the European one, and does not train any AI model on agency data.
What stays with the agent
Nothing is submitted to a carrier or sent to a client by Covera. The agent reviews every portal screen, every proposal and every email draft, and keeps the advice. Quoting is the first agent every agency gets; other agents are confirmed with Covera before activation for US agencies.
Frequently asked questions
Which personal lines can Covera quote?
The US catalog covers personal auto, homeowners, dwelling fire and umbrella. How much of each carrier portal is filled depends on whether Covera has mapped that portal; on other supported portals, the extension shows the profile for copying.
Does Covera send anything to clients or carriers?
No. Covera prefills portal screens and prepares proposals and email drafts. The agent reviews them, submits to the carrier and sends to the client.
Which agency management systems does Covera connect to?
For US agencies, Covera reads the book from EZLynx or Momentum (NowCerts). Emails and documents come from Gmail or Outlook.
