AI agents for Modulr brokerage software

Covera Agents reads Modulr every night: clients, policies and the list of expected documents, which drives the document collection agent. An agency administrator connects Modulr directly from Covera's settings.

Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance brokers. Modulr, published by ECILIA, is a French brokerage management software. Covera reads the agency's book in Modulr every night, together with the list of documents Modulr expects on each policy, and hands that list to the agent that chases missing documents.

What Covera reads in Modulr

  • Clients: identity, type, SIRET, address, first email address and first phone number.
  • Policies: status, cancellation reason, including non-payment, carrier, type, effective date, label, payment frequency and, depending on the connection mode, the main renewal date.
  • Expected documents: the Modulr list of documents awaited on each policy, with the status of each one.

Claims, receipts and payments, emails and the content of Modulr documents are not read.

An administrator connects it

Modulr is one of the two brokerage systems an agency connects on its own. In Covera's settings, the Modulr card appears once the agency is declared on Modulr, and only an administrator can save the connection. Two modes exist: an API key, when the agency's ECILIA license includes web services, or a Modulr user account for licenses without API. Credentials are stored encrypted and never shown again.

Covera recommends a Modulr user dedicated to Covera. Modulr accepts one session at a time, so the nightly read on a named account would sign that broker out.

What it unlocks for the agents

The document collection agent opens its files from the documents Modulr expects, and a document ticked in Modulr arrives in Covera as validated. The carrier quoting agent checks whether the prospect is already a client and prefills the risk profile from the book. Past-due collections and account rounding rely on the synced book, including the non-payment cancellation reason. The assistant answers questions on the synced copy.

What Covera writes in Modulr

The nightly sync is read-only by design. With the user account mode, the quoting file can create a client and a quote in Modulr on the broker's click; nothing is ever modified or deleted.

A sync that stays out of the way

The read runs at night, so brokers are not disturbed during the day. A night missed because of a temporary failure is retried once, two hours later, on a dedicated account only; otherwise the next night takes over.

Limits

The book is refreshed once a night, with no live read during the day. Covera does not mark a document as received in Modulr. An API key is shown only once by Modulr: a lost key has to be generated again. For French brokerages, data is stored in the European Union, and Covera does not train any AI model on agency data.

Other integrations

Covera Agents also connects to other brokerage software used in France: Maia, Excalibur, Coorty, Adhoc and BubbleIn. Emails and documents come from Gmail, Outlook and SharePoint.
