AI agents for Excalibur brokerage software

Covera Agents builds AI agents for insurance brokers. Excalibur, published by Net-Consult, is a French brokerage software installed on Windows, without an API the agency can open. Covera runs the connection on its own infrastructure, one environment per agency, so nothing is installed on the agency's computers.

What Covera reads in Excalibur

• Insureds: client number, identity, address, email, phone and SIRET.
• Policies: policy number, carrier and dates, including the effective date.
• Claims, synced every night for agencies where Covera has enabled it.

Receipts, the document store, projects and quotes are not read.

What Covera writes

In Covera, a quoting file can be linked to an insured of the Excalibur book; nothing is written in Excalibur for that. In Excalibur itself, Covera can create an insured, individual or company with its SIRET, when the broker clicks. Nothing is modified or deleted, and no project or quote is created in Excalibur.

How the connection is set up

The agency creates an Excalibur user dedicated to Covera, with access to the reporting module, and allows two column templates to be created for the export. The Covera team sets up and operates the connection, then switches the agency on. The broker has nothing to configure.

What it unlocks for the agents

The carrier quoting agent shows candidates from the book on each file, links the file to an existing insured, and receives the known identity, company name, SIRET and address, as a proposal. When the insured does not exist yet, the broker creates it from the same file. Past-due collections, renewals and account rounding rely on the synced book. The assistant answers questions on the synced copy.

Matching the right insured

Automatic linking happens only when the search returns a single candidate whose name is exactly the name of the file, and no other insured carries that name. Otherwise the broker confirms. Unlinking deletes nothing in Excalibur.

Edits made in Covera are kept

Contact details corrected on a client record in Covera, such as a phone number, an address or a note, are stored next to the book: the nightly sync does not overwrite them, and the record shows both values with a way to restore the original. The client identity stays the one in Excalibur.

Limits

The book is refreshed once a night, with an alert when no update has arrived. Excalibur search is sensitive to accents, so a company entered under another spelling may be created twice. The connection depends on Excalibur's environment: an update of the software can require an adjustment by the Covera team. For French brokerages, data is stored in the European Union, and Covera does not train any AI model on agency data.

Covera Agents also connects to other brokerage software used in France: Maia, Modulr, Coorty, Adhoc and BubbleIn. Emails and documents come from Gmail, Outlook and SharePoint.
